We took our kids on a ski trip out of state. It was great skiing on a big mountain but it meant the kids missed a week of school and my youngest was not prepared for the the packet of "homework" he had to complete before returning. He loves school and playing with his buddies there. Being out of the school building for over a week, however, was enough time for him to decide that the unknowns of school were too overwhelming and therefore he wasn't going to go back.

As adults we can experience this too. Maybe not in a ten day period but change and the unknown can be daunting. I often hear, "Jill, we want to sell and buy a new home but we have NO IDEA WHERE TO START."
